This Sounds More Like Extortion
If it were true that poverty causes terrorism, then Bangaladesh would be a hotbed of terrorism.
Phillipine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo claimed yesterday that "There is no denying that poverty provides the breeding grounds for the recruitment of terrorists."
Call me a bigot if you want, but there seems to be a much greater correlation between Islam and terrorism than between poverty and racism. After all, two of the world's biggest terrorists, Saddam Hussein and Usama bin Laden, were quite wealthy.
