Howard Dean's unrivaled talent for saying something stupid has even James Carville concerned. "He seems to not appreciate the glory of the unspoken thought." And, "I'm scared to death that this guy just says anything. It feels like he's undergone some kind of a political lobotomy here."
Novak speculates that the gaffes come so regularly that they obscure each other.
I don't think so. Dean is going to get the nomination because he unabashedly courts the hate vote. Hate is never far below the surface of liberalism and Dean permits and even encourages hate to scream full throat.
