Time has its list of the 100 greatest novels of all time.
I've read 15, but I don't agree with the list. There is for example, nothing by Stephen King, whom I think is underrated as a consequence of the genre he labors in - horror.
For anyone who disagrees with me, I recommend the "Dark Tower" series.
It's better literature than the Lord of the Rings, which is on this list.
Also missing is "Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follet, which I rank as the finest novel I have ever read.
"Piece of Cake," by Derek Robinson is also notably absent, as is "The Far Pavillions," by M. M. Kaye.
The entire "Master and Commander" series by Patrick O'Brian deserves consideration too.
