Rick Sanchez Gets Canned

Now we know what it takes to get fired from CNN. We know that being a lousy journalist isn't enough. We know that getting drunk and committing felony drunken driving isn't enough to stifle a career.

Let's go over a few of the journalistic transgressions that CNN overlooked.

Repeating frequently that Barack Obama had been the target of a 400% increase in death threats since assuming office. Wrong.

Reporting easily disprovable accusations that Rush Limbaugh has made racist slurs on his radio program.

Not knowing where Hawaii was.

And, being just plain stupid hasn't been enough. As simple minded as Sanchez is, Wolf Blitzer is one hell of a lot stupider.
