Corn Ethanol Continues To Pay Dividends

World food prices are rising to crisis level, while American politicians continue to promote the wasteful corn-to-ethanol program that causes it while not reducing oil consumption by one drop.

World food prices continued to rise drastically in December and are still escalating thus far in 2011, with no end in sight. According to the United Nations, the prices are now close to the crisis levels of 2007.The New York Times reports: "Prices are expected to remain high this year, prompting concern that the world may be approaching another crisis, although economists cautioned that many factors, like adequate stockpiles of key grains, could prevent a serious problem."
