Warren Christopher, RIP
How could anyone tell?
Warren M. Christopher, the attorney turned envoy who tirelessly traveled to Bosnia and the Middle East on peace missions during his 1993-96 tenure as secretary of state in the Clinton administration, has died at age 85.
What I remember about Warren Christopher was his total impotence during the Iranian hostage crisis. When a military option was being considered, Christopher wanted US soldiers to refrain from killing the enemy. He wanted our soldiers to shoot the guns out of the hands of the Iranians.
