Associated Press Fact Checks Obama

And discovers that he's a liar.

OBAMA: “It shouldn’t be Democratic or Republican to say that we don’t threaten the freedom of the press because they say things or publish stories we don’t like. I complained plenty about Fox News, but you never heard me threaten to shut them down or call them enemies of the people.” — rally Friday at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
THE FACTS: Trump may use extraordinary rhetoric to undermine trust in the press, but Obama arguably went farther — using extraordinary actions to block the flow of information to the public.
The Obama administration used the 1917 Espionage Act with unprecedented vigor, prosecuting more people under that law for leaking sensitive information to the public than all previous administrations combined. Obama’s Justice Department dug into confidential communications between news organizations and their sources as part of that effort.

"How hard can that be? Saying that Nazis are bad?" Obama asked.

In 2013, The New York Times Scalded Obama for his Attacks on a Free Press

Public Editor Margaret Sullivan pointed out that Obama didn't just criticize the press, he used the instruments of government attack the press

[I]t’s turning out to be the administration of unprecedented secrecy and of unprecedented attacks on a free press. I wrote about the chilling effect of the Obama administration’s leak investigations – including the ramped-up criminal prosecution of those who provide information to the press — in a Sunday column in March.
Now that situation, already bad, has taken a major turn for the worse with revelations that the Obama Justice Department had secretly seized the phone records of a large number of journalists for The Associated Press, as part of a leak investigation.

Attacks on ICE Agents Increase

Will anyone hold CNN and the Democratic Party responsible for inciting violence

Assaults on ICE agents reached a decade high and assaults on Border Patrol agents have also surged in recent years, according to new government numbers that seem to back up agents’ claims that illegal immigrants are increasingly looking to fight rather than flee.
The new numbers, reported by Homeland Security’s inspector general, could even be underselling the problem, investigators said, because the government doesn’t do a good job of tracking incidents, and agents and officers don’t always report them properly.

Anti-Muslim Party Set to Make Big Gains in Sweden

Sweden's open borders have led to dramatically increased crime rates, especially forcible rape. The establishment fails to understand that Muslim immigration poses a greater threat to traditional Swedish values than the so-called "far right."

Sweden’s prime minister denounced an increasingly popular far-right party as racist and a threat to the nation’s European values Saturday as political candidates made their final pre-election pitches to voters.
The parliamentary election being held Sunday will be Sweden’s first since the government in 2015 allowed 163,000 migrants into the country of 10 million. While far less than what Germany took in that year, it was the most per capita of any European nation.

New York Times Editor Slams Barack Obama

"Your DOJ also prosecuted more leak investigations than all other presidents’ combined. Come on," Fiscus wrote.
Fiscus was referring to the then-unprecedented efforts by the Obama White House to out leakers and prosecute those helping them. Most notably, former Fox News reporter James Rosen was accused of violating anti-espionage law for what one reporter at the time termed "traditional news reporting."
At the time, Major Garrett, CBS’s chief White House correspondent, asked Obama press secretary Jay Carney: "The subpoena says James Rosen is a potential criminal because he's a reporter. Is the White House comfortable with that standard, never before seen in a leak investigation?"

New York Times Vindicates Donald Trump.

The New York Times has indulged in a week-long orgy of self-adulation for publishing an op-ed supposedly penned by a "senior White House official." And while I don't doubt a word of what the Times published, the fact remains that the letter verified everything that Trump has been saying about the incestuous relationship between the mainstream press and the deep state.

Donald Trump was elected because he promised to do something about business as usual in Washington.  He has a long way to go to cleanse those Augean Stables, but he has made a tremendous start, which is precisely why the occupants of those stables are so alarmed.  Here is someone, not of their tribe, who is succeeding beyond their wildest dreams. But he pays them no heed and patently could not care less that they disapprove of him.
This latest bulletin from the engine room of fake news barely rises above the level of name calling. It has the acrid smell of desperation.  With every week that passes, Donald Trump ticks off another campaign promise fulfilled. It was what he was elected to do. Those who elected him like winning. And more and more people who were anti-Trump at the outset are looking around and liking what they see. The former newspaper that Donald Trump calls the ‘failing New York Times’ is a monument to impotent irrelevance. This latest prank unfolds just as Brett Kavanaugh is about to be confirmed to the Supreme Court.  The dogs are barking, but the caravan moves on.

Global Warming is Real. It's not New. It's Not Bad. It's Saving us From an Ice Age

It's not New. It's Not Bad. It's Saving us From an Ice Age.

A study published in the journal Scientific Reports provides new evidence that ancient farming practices led to a rise in the atmospheric emission of the heat-trapping gases carbon dioxide and methane—a rise that has continued since, unlike the trend at any other time in Earth's geologic history.
It also shows that without this human influence, by the start of the Industrial Revolution, the planet would have likely been headed for another ice age.
"Had it not been for early agriculture, Earth's  would be significantly cooler today," says lead author, Stephen Vavrus, a senior scientist in the University of Wisconsin-Madison Center for Climatic Research in the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies. "The ancient roots of farming produced enough carbon dioxide and methane to influence the environment."

Cory Booker Solidifies his Status as the Senate's Biggest Fool

No, Cory, you are not Spartacus

  • For those of you who don’t know, Cory Booker heroically® (according to his P.R. operation) defied Senate rules and risked expulsion from that chamber in order to release confidential documents that the American people desperately needed to see. The people needed to understand what the dangerous bigot whom Trump nominated to the Court had written in an email about racial profiling while working in the Bush White House after 9/11.
  • There were only a couple of problems: The email in question was already cleared for public release (and Booker knew it), and the substance of the email revealed that the Monster Kavanaugh opposedracial profiling. It was as if Cory Booker — once a famous, if choreographed, good Samaritan — saw a mugging, leapt out of his car, tire-iron in hand, to save the day only to stop 20 feet from the assailant in front of some TV cameras, and proceed to smash the makeshift weapon into his own crotch. “I am Spartacus! Ow! I am Spartacus — Ooof!”
