Prize fighter Joe Lewis used to line up a parade of hacks he could easily kick the crap out of and retain his title. He called them, "the bum of the month club."
Karl Rove seems to be attempting the same thing by promoting Howard Dean's candidacy, although I think the whole Democratic field is a bunch of bums. John Kerry as president? Richard Gephardt? Dennis Kucinich? Bums all.
