Company Fined for Not Polluting Enough

I'm not making this up. A creamery on the Northwestern coast of California has been fined $5,000 for not pumping as much nitric acid into the environment as it reported on its disclosure forms.
The company misunderstood the forms and reported neutral nitrates as nitric acid.
