Aside from the human rights justifications, it is in our security interests to topple the theocracy that tyrannizes Iran. That Iran supports terroism is well known. And now, with the assistance of North Korea (who should be next), Iran has tested a new ballistic missile capable of delivering nuclear weapons to Israel. This means that, if we don't act, Israel will. And Israel has fewer lethal options than we do. We can support internal revolution. If they must, Israel will vaporize Iran.
I'd rather have a friendly Iran than a smoking wasteland. But I'd prefer the smoking wasteland be Iran than Israel.
