The Schizophrenic Democratic Party
The Schizophrenia of the Democratic Party
David Brooks nails it. The Democratic Party is splintered over the most important foreign policy issue of this generation, post-war Iraq. And, the root of their dissolution is driven less by the policy than by their dislike of the president.
Is is possible for the Democratic party to pull it together? I don't think so. They've long placed party interests above national interests. This is just another manifestation.
