The Times Reports Good News?

The typically cynical press last week put out its first report card on president Bush's "PR offensive" promoting good news in Iraq. The president had added a few points to his job approval ratings they noted, as if that were the goal.

But, the real motives behind the drive to fill in the spaces left blank by the mainstream media seems to be succeeding. Even the New York Times has had to confess that, yes there is reason for optimism in Iraq. We are accomplishing great things there. And, we are welcomed as liberators.
