I Guess It's Up To The Blogosphere, Again.

It's been about 5 days now since the Weekly Standard revealed a secret CIA memo documenting the links between Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. And so far - nothing. A brief mention in the Washington Post, but nothing in the New York Times, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, etc.
When a fairly inconsequential memo from Donald Rumsfeld to a few subordinates suggesting that the war on terror could be fought more efficiently, they were all over it. Which is bigger news?
Jack Shafer has one obvious explanation. But clearly, the press has an anti-Bush political agenda and reporting this story would embarass Howard Dean and John Kerry, among many, many others.
