A Most Uncivil Man Calls for Civility

Nicholas Kristoff, who for the last couple of years has been competing with Michael Moore and Al Franken for the angry left's affections has surrendered the ground and is now calling for civility (registration required) from his party.

Of course he blames Republicans for initiating the incivility. Anybody old enough and honest enough to recall Democrat rage at Reagan knows better. I've been a conservative libertarian all my life and cannot remember a time when my philosophy of limited government was not equated with Naziism. That always struck me as a little uncivil.
