Time To Show the World, This is not Bill Clinton's America

Time To Show the World, This is not Bill Clinton's America

Saddam Hussein has finally achieved his Somalia moment. This is the moment when, according to the thinking of the Usama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein, we are suppose to tuck our tails between our legs and run home to mommy.

“It is damaging not only because of the tragic human toll, but also because it looks like a dramatic escalation in lethality and therefore begs obvious questions: Are all helicopters at risk now? Are we losing the initiative? Who is winning?” said Peter D. Feaver, a former National Security Council staff member who teaches political science at Duke University.
“If the attacks get interpreted as evidence that the Baathist holdouts are winning, then attacks like this can be as lethal for public support as they are for the soldiers involved,” he said.

I have to wonder how many Americans have died because of the example Bill Clinton set when he ran from Somalia after the Blackhawk attack. Usama bin Laden believed America was too cowardly and decadent to defend itself, and so 3000 died on September 11, 2001, dozens died on the USS Cole. Hundreds of African died in the embassy bombings. All because bin Laden thought Bill Clinton's feebleness represented America. No doubt, many Americans have died in Saddam's resistance because he believes the same thing.
