What? American's Want to Hear Something Positive?

It's probably a dead end strategy, given what it takes to attract the party's left wing, but it is nevertheless refreshing to read that one Democrat candidate believes that his party has to stand for something more than hating Bush.

"It is true that you can get Democratic activists on their feet cheering much more quickly bashing George Bush than any other way," Democrat presidential candidate Edwards said yesterday. "But remember, we're going through a process here and people are looking for a president. They're not looking for somebody who can just beat up George Bush. They're looking for someone who can inspire them and lead them."

Does he have anyting to offer? Well, he didn't articulate anything in the article quoted above.
