When I watched gun camera video of three been being blown literally to pieces by a Cobra helicopter, I had a Rodney King moment. I strongly suspected that we were only being given the information that placed the United States military in the worst light.

The more I think about it, the more I believe that I was right. For example, why was the helicopter there in the first place? It seems likely that the helicopter arrived on that scene because the military had developed intelligence that some sort of terrorist deal was going down. When a tube, that might have been a rocket launcher or a mortar tube was seen, it probably confirmed the intelligence.

Were they right to pull the trigger? Probably. It's unfortunate that ABC chose to show that video and post a link to it on their website. It s likely that Islamist propagandists will use the video, althought they won't have edit it much more than ABC did.
