It Was The Open Buffet They Couldn't Afford

George Mason University exercised good sense by disinviting Michael Moore. GMU had offered the leftist $35,000 to rant against his country, but a couple of Republican legislators protested and, because university presidents can't afford to make enemies in legilatures, Moore was told that he oculd rant all he wanted, for free.

Universities are always pleading poverty. Such claims do not stand up well when they can afford to piss away 35 grand like that.
