Help Central America

In the last 6 months, I've spent about 4 weeks working in Central America. At a time when so much of the world considers hating America fashionable, Central America is genuinely pro-American. They are grateful to us for saving them from communism and for helping establish genuine democracy in the region.
But, Central America is very poor and could use an economic boost. We don't need to give them money. We only need to liberalize trade.
And, it will help us too. US incomes are expected to rise by $17 billion after the free trade agreement is ratified. Central America will benefit to the tune of 5 billion. Considering that the country where I work, El Salvador, has a GDP of only about $12 billion, that will be a big help.
