"We'd Probably Shoot Ourselves"
The CIA has established a network of "secret" prisons, mostly in Eastern Europe where it keeps and interrogates dangerous, high value terrorist prisoners.
Originally, assasinating these particularly dangerous target was considered, but the CIA did not consider itself competent to accomplish that. So, the secret prison system was born.
Apparently, the CIA is not competent to keep secrets either, or this story would not have appeared in today's Washington Post.
