Harry Reid Discovers Where Babies Come From

Harry Reid finally figures out that the surge is working, or at least it isn't failing.

"the surge certainly hasn't hurt..."

He also pours out this pearl of rhetorical brilliance:
"Well, we've been able to accomplish quite a bit, but not very much."

Here in his view was the greatest accomplishment: Lobbying reform.

"[W]e were able to get things done, with the most sweeping ethics and lobbying reform."

The lobbying reform was, of course, a joke. And what little reform there was, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and John Murtha watered down.

Here's another pearl for the swine.:
"We were able to get good things done as it relates to a balanced budget."

A balanced budget? What alternate universe does this guy live in? The budget they just passed was about a quarter of a trillion dollars out of balance. It was only that "small" because Bush vetoed the bigger spending bill that the Congress originally sent him. Plus, the budget he ultimately signed contained 11,000 earmarks totally $15 billion worth of pork.

Let's hope that Harry Reid is as accurate with this prediction:
If the election were held today, we would pick up four seats.
