Fact Checking Charles Johnson

Charles Johnson simply can't deal with reality anymore than Barack Obama.

First he distorts what the New York Times wrote so that he can disprove what they didn't even say. Then he says this: "I’ve never instructed any monitor to delete comments simply for being “critical,” and if a comment were deleted for that purpose alone I would probably restore it. In fact, I have restored a few comments deleted by monitors, but very few — because the people I’ve given this ability understand the guidelines pretty well."

I've maybe left a dozen comments on LGF over the years. But after my last comment, which was the first critical of Charles Johnson, was my last. It was deleted and I was banned from commenting again. Charles Johnson had linked to a Los Angeles Times profile of him that was quite predictably complimentary. He had after all, transformed his blog into a litany of self congratulation about how he was so superior to conservatives, using the same kind of distortion that Media Matters employs. I remarked that Charles Johnson had finally received what he had been seeking for months - the approval of the mainstream media.
There were no insults and no profanity. It was just as civil and vanilla as I wrote it above. And if Charles Johnson were to reprint it, you'd see who's telling the truth.
