Napolitano Goes To Afghanistan To Advise On Border Security
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano's visit to Afghanistan today included a tour of the Torkham Border Crossing in Nangarhar province — near the Kybher Pass, the major route connecting Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Why is the nation's top "homeland" official in an overseas war zone? Turns out DHS has personnel in Afghanistan to help improve the country's border security operations.
