The New York Times Confesses To The Obvious

Next I expect to read in the Times that the Earth is round and babies aren't delivered by storks. In the meantime, the Times discovered this:
"Starved for revenue and accustomed to decades of overspending, many states have been overwhelmed."
Of course, the Times' recommendation for dealing with this is for the federal government, which is already running up trillion dollar plus deficits to enable and reward this behavior. California, which spends 80% of every tax dollar on salaries or benefits, can't seem to muster up the courage to cut its bloated bureaucracy or stand up to its unions.
