Obama Collects Big Bucks

$172,704,222: The amount of money in President Obama's campaign account, which includes the $21.3 million he collected from donors in February, according to new numbers filed Tuesday with the Federal Election Commission. While 41.2 percent has come from small donations (less than $200), Obama is getting big checks from his Hollywood fans. In February, the Obama Victory Fund, a joint committee bridging the Obama campaign with the Democratic National Committee, listed several donations from A-list actors including $35,800 from George Clooney, $30,800 from Will Ferrell, $10,000 from Bette Midler and $1,000 from Mila Kunis. The committee also received a $30,800 donation from designer Michael Kors, and $30,800 from film producer Jeffrey Soros, nephew of Democratic power-donor George Soros.
