MSNBC Busted For Lying

Again.

Univision Exposes Fast And Furious

Fortunately for Obama, the broadcast was in Spanish. Expect ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN to ignore it.
On January 30, 2010, a commando of at least 20 hit men parked themselves outside a birthday party of high school and college students in Villas de Salvarcar, Ciudad Juarez. Near midnight, the assassins, later identified as hired guns for the Mexican cartel La Linea, broke into a one-story house and opened fire on a gathering of nearly 60 teenagers. Outside, lookouts gunned down a screaming neighbor and several students who had managed to escape. Fourteen young men and women were killed, and 12 more were wounded before the hit men finally fled.

Indirectly, the United States government played a role in the massacre by supplying some of the firearms used by the cartel murderers. Three of the high caliber weapons fired that night in Villas de Salvarcar were linked to a gun tracing operation run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), according to a Mexican army document obtained exclusively by Univision News.

Univision News identified a total of 57 more previously unreported firearms that were bought by straw purchasers monitored by ATF during Operation Fast and Furious, and then recovered in Mexico in sites related to murders, kidnappings, and at least one other massacre.

Obamaton Endorses Death Panels

Because sick people are expensive.
"We need death panels."
Rattner later laments "In 2009, Sarah Palin’s rant about death panels even forced elimination from the bill of a provision to offer end-of-life consultations."
Here is, word for word, Sarah Palin's "rant."

“The Democrats promise that a government health care system will reduce the cost of health care, but as the economist Thomas Sowell has pointed out, government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama's "death panel" so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their "level of productivity in society," whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.”
I'd say that's considerably more informed and civil than anything that comes from the Obama regime.

Univision Investigates Fast And Furious

Univision does the job that ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, the New York Times etc have refused to do.

Muslims Torch Buddist Temples

I'm starting to detect a pattern here. Does that make me a racist?

Muslims took to the streets in the area late on Saturday to protest against what they said was a photograph posted on Facebook that insulted Islam.

The protesters said the picture had been posted by a Buddhist and they marched to Buddhist villages and set fire to temples and houses.

Police said they had deployed extra security forces and banned gatherings in Buddhist-dominated areas.

"We brought the situation under control before dawn and imposed restrictions on public gatherings," said Salim Mohammad Jahangir, Cox's Bazar district police superintendent.

Many people in predominantly Muslim Bangladesh have been angered in recent days by a film made in California that mocks the Prophet Mohammad.

Barack Obama Wins The Coveted Hugo Chavez Endorsement

And Hugo Chavez displays his understanding of Chicago politics.
With both presidents facing tight re-election fights, Venezuela's Hugo Chavez gave a surprise endorsement to Barack Obama on Sunday - and said the U.S. leader no doubt felt the same.

"I hope this doesn't harm Obama, but if I was from the United States, I'd vote for Obama," the socialist Chavez said of a man he first reached out to in 2009 but to whom he has since generally been insulting.

Chavez is running for a new six-year term against opposition challenger Henrique Capriles, while Obama seeks re-election in November against Republican candidate Mitt Romney. Venezuela's election is next weekend.

"Obama is a good guy ... I think that if Obama was from Barlovento or some Caracas neighbourhood, he'd vote for Chavez," the president told state TV, referring to a poor coastal town known for the African roots of its population.

How Easy Is It To Be Racist?

It's so easy that, if a black person behaves like a fool, then you're the racist.
Yesterday we asked "How Racist Is the Obama Phone Video?" It turns out that we didn't just need to explain the degree of the racism, but whether it was racist at all. After rallying around a video of a black woman explaining (incorrectly) that Obama had given her a free cell phone as a sure-fire way of boosting Mitt Romney's campaign ("I could see that video turned into an incredible ad. No voice over needed. Just let it play and at the end, 'I'm Mitt Romney and I approved this message.' Landslide."), some folks acted outraged that we would notice that they were trading in horrendous racial stereotypes. While there are plenty of studies investigating the way racial code words are used in political advertising ("inner city," for example), this is not coded. This video, if placed in a Romney ad, would make George H.W. Bush's 1988 Willie Horton ad look subtle by comparison: the other guy is supported by scary black people, vote Republican!

The "Obama Phone" video is not being used by the Romney campaign. So we can't say that it's a racist attempt to get votes in the election. Right now, it sits in the middle ground between "stuff on the Internet" and "serious political issue." But it took one big step toward becoming a  serious issue when, on the same day, Rush Limbaugh played it repeatedly on his radio show and the Drudge Report posted it at the top of his page. They'd probably call it humor? Limbaugh finds a lot of things funny about Democrats, like how fat Michelle Obama is. And an Obama voter who seems to be dumb? That's comedy gold, or as he described the "Obama Phone" video, "That's not Saturday Night Live. That is a real Obama voter." Because a video of a black woman with bad teeth and a poor grasp of the history of the Universal Service Fund proves that Democrats are stupid, lazy, and, oh, black. "That is a real Obama voter." We say, that's racist.

News Media Can't Fool 60% Any Of The Time Anymore

Here’s something I’ll bet you didn’t know. More than 70% of all US combat deaths in Afghanistan have been suffered since Obama took office. But when was the last time that you heard a somber-faced evening news anchor memorialize a “grim milestone?” Not since January 20th, 2009.

That should give you a sense of why, according to a Gallup poll released last Friday, 60% of Americans no longer trust the news media. That level of distrust was the highest ever recorded in the history of the Gallup Poll. The NFL replacement referees might poll higher in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

And if anyone cares to understand the roots of the public’s distrust, one needs look no further than the week of exceptionally dishonest reporting prior to the poll’s release.

Let’s review what passed for fair, balanced and unbiased journalism during the week that followed the September 11, 2012 assassination of our Libyan ambassador.

First of all, the Obama administration blamed the killing on overly exuberant Libyan film critics. Then they claimed that the ambassador had been provided with extra security. And finally Obama claimed that his administration had received “no actionable intelligence” that any terrorist attack was imminent.

As it turns out, each and every one of those assertions was a lie. Not an error, a lie. There was no demonstration. The assassination was a coordinated attack by up to 100 heavily armed men. The ambassador had been provided with no security whatsoever. And, the Libyan government had warned the Obama administration of an impending attack three full days before it happened.

And yet, even as Obama’s Middle Eastern foreign policy literally went up in flames and he was repeatedly exposed as a liar, the predominant news narrative focused on Mitt Romney. The mainstream news media insisted that Romney had his worst week of the presidential campaign and that it may have cost him the election.

Romney’s sin was that he was right about everything. The previous week was the inevitable consequence of Obama’s feeble foreign policy of apology and appeasement. It was absolutely reprehensible for the president of the United States of America and the United States Secretary of State to grovel before the Muslim world and apologize for our Constitutional liberties. And those apologies, far from appeasing Muslims, resulted in more aggressive demands that the United States criminalize criticism of Islam.

Damn the facts! Full speed ahead with the narrative!

Journalism has grown so corrupt that it celebrates its corruption. Just have a look at who WSU’s School of Journalism honored Thursday for lifetime achievement – Dan Rather.

Instead of chronicling his whole career, let’s look at the bookends. Rather made his name in 1963 when he stole a colleague’s scoop and claimed credit for first reporting that President John F. Kennedy had died. Rather followed that up with a claim that Dallas schoolchildren had cheered when they learned that the president was dead. That slander became part of the mythology surrounding the Kennedy assassination and is still repeated to this day.

His career ended after he aired the dishonest claim that he had memos proving that George Bush was frequently AWOL from his Air National Guard unit. He had been told by experts that the memos were frauds, but he ignored their warnings.

Once released for public examination, it was quickly proved that the memos were indeed forgeries, but Rather refused to concede and his career went down with his monstrous ego.

And if that weren’t enough, he and his producer Mary Mapes, coordinated their on-air attack against President Bush with the Kerry for President Campaign.

And yet, here he is, collecting the 2012 Edward R. Murrow Award for Lifetime Achievement. And unfortunately, that’s appropriate considering the current state of journalism. He, as much as anyone, contributed to the low opinion most Americans have for the mainstream news media.

Here’s another example of the media rewarding dishonesty. In 2004 Lewis Latham wrote a story for Harper’s Magazine chronicling his experiences at the Republican National Convention. The problem was he wrote the article before the Republicans convened. He made it all up.

The exposure of his lie did not cost him his job as editor of Harper’s. He stayed on for two more years before leaving to start his own eponymous magazine.

Perhaps you can fool all of the people some of the time, but 60% are fooled no longer.

Obamathematics: 12 X 9 = 18,000

Barack Obama claims that birth control pills cost $18,000/year.  Target and WalMart charge $9/month. Twelve months in a year. That comes out to $108 by the math I learned. But then, I'm not a liberal Democrat.
If anything as embarrassing as what follows occurred at a Republican presidential contender's website, including the follow-up ridicule by the opposition, the press would never be able to resist covering it.
A mythical (I hope) ecard created at the Obama-Biden campaign site call purports to be from a daughter to her mother, and asks about the most ridiculous question you can imagine.
Here it is:
DearMomObamaFull0912
I have no idea how the Obama campaign came up with $18,000.

As I noted over six months ago in March, $9, 28-day supplies of birth control pills can be had at Target (which now appears to be down to $4), Walmart, and in the Midwest, Kroger (Kroger link no longer works).

A Chronicle Of Obama's Lies

Republican Women Look More Feminine

This is no surprise to any guy with an active pair.
Republican congresswomen appear more "feminine" than their Democrat counterparts, according to a new study by UCLA psychology researchers.

"Female politicians with stereotypically feminine facial features are more likely to be Republican than Democrat, and the correlation increases the more conservative the lawmaker's voting record," said study author Colleen M. Carpinella, a UCLA graduate student in psychology, in an article posted to the UCLA Newsroom website.

So what makes a woman "stereotypically feminine?"

Certainly, individuals are easily biased by outside factors not related to facial characteristics, including hair style, application of cosmetics, jewelry or clothing style, said Kerri Johnson, the study's senior author and an assistant professor of communication studies and psychology at UCLA. For this reason, the researchers used a computer program that was "immune to those influences."

The program, called FaceGen, allows the researchers to measure more than 100 subtle dimensions including the shape of the jaw, the location of eyebrows, the placement of cheek bones, the shape of eyes and the contour of the forehead, to create a score ranging from -40 (highly male-typed) to +40 (highly female-typed).

For the study, the researchers had FaceGen analyze the portraits of members of the 111th House of Representatives, measuring how closely the facial features of each face approached the average for their gender.

Obama Seeks To Bailout Beligerent Islamists

Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood extends its beggar's cup. Obama hits the tip jar.
The Obama administration notified Congress on Friday that it would provide Egypt’s new government an emergency cash infusion of $450 million, but the aid immediately encountered resistance from a prominent lawmaker wary of foreign aid and Egypt’s new course under the leadership of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The aid is part of the $1 billion in assistance that the Obama administration has pledged to Egypt to bolster its transition to democracy after the overthrow last year of the former president, Hosni Mubarak. Its fate, however, was clouded by concerns over the new government’s policies and, more recently, the protests that damaged the American Embassy in Cairo.

How Low Will Harry Reid Go?

Clearly, there is no bottom.
The Senate majority leader, Harry Reid, participating in a unilateral race to the bottom, said just that about Mitt Romney. Highlighting an Internet item, Reid said he agreed that Romney “sullied” the Mormon faith, and that in Nevada, voters would “understand that he is not the face of Mormonism.”

That is low even by Harry Reid, “a little birdie told me Romney paid no taxes for ten years,” standards.

Consider the deviousness. By calling Romney a bad Mormon, Reid draws attention to Romney’s (and Reid’s) religion for the benefit of anti-Mormon bigots who may not have heard about Romney’s faith. Reid doesn’t fear such prejudices himself because (a) he was reelected to a six-year term in 2010, (b) he hails from Nevada which boasts a large Mormon population, and (c) religious prejudices rarely affect House or Senate races.

But really, saying someone “sullies” a religion? Republican senators should be demanding an apology at the very least, or calling for his resignation. President Obama should be asked if he approves of this kind of character assassination.

Bikini Basketball League - Coming Soon

At last. The next logical step after the lingerie football league.
Women in bikinis add interest to anything. It looks like some pioneers are looking to build on that concept by starting up a bikini basketball league.

According to BikiniBasketball.com, the Bikini Basketball Association is coming soon.
Here's a brief snapshot of what we're looking at, via the website, which appears to be very much under construction -- perhaps like the league itself.

"The league is for Sexy Athletic Ladies from around the world. We have several teams already -- Atlanta Fleet Angels, Miami Spice, New York Knockouts, Hollywood Hotties, Orlando Lady Cats, L.A. Ice and Chicago Desire."

We're not sure about you guys, but the Miami Spice have the name of a champion who's destined to follow in the footsteps of the NBA team across town. In any event, though, we're looking at some tantalizing names.

Obama Tells Contractors: Lie Until After The Election

And Barack Hussein Obama will cover legal expenses (using taxpayer money) resulting from this law breaking. How low will Obama go?
The White House on Friday told government contractors worried about fiscal cliff spending cuts to hold off on warning employees about possible layoffs.

The government said it would cover legal costs if contractors are forced to slash their payrolls because of the looming $109 billion in automatic cuts next year and are alleged to have violated the WARN Act.

The federal WARN Act requires businesses with more than 100 employees to notify workers at least 60 days in advance of a mass layoff or plant closing. Some states require more notice.

"Any resulting employee compensation costs for WARN Act liability as determined by a court, as well as attorneys' fees and other litigation costs (irrespective of litigation outcome) would qualify as allowable costs and be covered by the contracting agency, if otherwise reasonable and allocable," the Office of Management and Budget said in its guidance.

One Sign That Says It All

Economic Prosperity Causes Unhappiness

The New York Times begins to assemble its case for Obama's reelection.
As the recent riots at a Foxconn factory in northern China demonstrate, growth alone, even at sustained, spectacular rates, has not produced the kind of life satisfaction crucial to a stable society — an experience that shows how critically important good jobs and a strong social safety net are to people’s happiness.
Starting in 1990, as China moved to a free-market economy, real per-capita consumption and gross domestic product doubled, then doubled again. Most households now have at least one color TV. Refrigerators and washing machines — rare before 1990 — are common in cities.
Yet there is no evidence that the Chinese people are, on average, any happier, according to an analysis of survey data that colleagues and I conducted. If anything, they are less satisfied than in 1990, and the burden of decreasing satisfaction has fallen hardest on the bottom third of the population in wealth. Satisfaction among Chinese in even the upper third has risen only moderately.
See there? You should appreciate all the Obama has done to protect you from the dissatisfaction that comes with prosperity.

Obama Weasels Out Of Responsibility

Harry Truman famously said, "The buck stops here." Barack Obama's version is that only a dime stops at his desk.
"When I came into office, I inherited the biggest deficit in our history.1 And over the last four years, the deficit has gone up, but 90% of that is as a consequence of two wars that weren't paid for,2 as a consequence of tax cuts that weren't paid for,3 a prescription drug plan that was not paid for,4 and then the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.5

"Now we took some emergency actions, but that accounts for about 10% of this increase in the deficit,6 and we have actually seen the federal government grow at a slower pace than at any time since Dwight Eisenhower, in fact, substantially lower than the federal government grew under either Ronald Reagan or George Bush."

US Economic Growth Estimate Plummets - Unexpectedly

Obamanomics marches on. As usual, Team Obama's original estimate was greatly exaggerated.
The government chopped its estimate of U.S. growth in the second quarter, as consumers and businesses spent and invested less than initially believed.

Gross domestic product in the April-to-June period increased by 1.3% instead of 1.7% as previously reported, the Commerce Department said Thursday in its third and final review of second-quarter growth.
They're blaming the drought? Horse manure!

This is the April-June estimate. That's well before the harvest for all you city slickers.

It's Over! Obama Won.

The media have voted.
Give up -- Barack Obama has won.  With the election only weeks away, it is clear from recent swing state polling that Mitt Romney has lost this election.  According to the Quinnipiac numbers, in the battleground states of Ohio, Florida, and Pennsylvania, the president is ahead by 10%, 9% and 12%, respectively.

Romney can't win.  Just ask any journalist or newscasters.  He is toast -- stick a fork in him.

As A Military Commander, Obama Earns An "F"

Surge.
The U.S. troop surge in Afghanistan ended last week. Conditions in Afghanistan are mostly worse than before it began.

That conclusion doesn’t come from anti-war advocates. It relies on data recently released by the NATO command in Afghanistan, known as ISAF, and acquired by Danger Room. According to most of the yardsticks chosen by the military — but not all — the surge in Afghanistan fell short of its stated goal: stopping the Taliban’s momentum.

Of course, that’s not ISAF’s spin. The command notes that enemy attacks from January to August 2012 are slightly lower, by 5 percent, from that period last year; and that the past two Augusts show a reduction in attacks of 30 percent. But the more relevant comparison is to 2009, when Afghanistan looked like such a mess that President Obama substantially increased troop levels. And compared to 2009, Afghanistan does not look improved.

Don't Pump Booze Up Your Butt!

Helpful advice from CNN.
News of students at the University of Tennessee using "alcohol enemas" to get drunk prompted a slew of comments from CNN readers in disbelief.

"When I was in college we just did funnels and kegstands," said commenter LogicBomb101.

"Is there a 12-step program for that?" FootnoteFad asked.

But alcohol enemas are no laughing matter, experts say. One of the Tennessee students was taken to the hospital with a blood alcohol level of 0.40, officials said. That's five times the legal limit and in what doctors call the "death zone" for alcohol poisoning.

Using an alcohol enema involves placing a small tube into someone's rectum and pouring alcohol into the colon. Because the alcohol is absorbed directly into the bloodstream, the recipient gets drunk faster.

Our stomachs and livers have an enzyme known as alcohol dehydrogenase that breaks down ethanol to make it less toxic for our bodies, said Atlanta gastroenterologist Dr. Preston Stewart. The lower gastrointestinal tract doesn't have that enzyme, so alcohol molecules are absorbed into the bloodstream through the lining of the colon.

Vote For Obama - Get Free Stuff! Like a Phone!

And for his next trick, he'll feed all of Ohio with a loaf of bread and two fishes!

Joe Biden Invents Heroic College Football Career

A true fantasy football player.

During a speech at Ohio University in Athens, OH on September 8, Vice President Joe Biden led his audience to believe he had been a college football player for his alma mater -- Delaware University -- and had played against Ohio University in a 1963 football game.

His words contradicted his own memoir, in which he wrote he gave up playing football while at Delaware, and Internet records of past Delaware football team rosters, on which he is not listed.

On fanbase.com, a site that archives college football rosters, Biden is not listed on Delaware's 196119621963, or 1964 football rosters. Biden attended Delaware University from 1961 to 1965 and graduated in 1965 with a double major in history and political science.

In his September 8 speech, Biden, to set up a story about how he was almost arrested on Ohio University’s campus in 1963, said he came to Ohio University then because “my football team, the University of Delaware, came to avenge a loss” from 1961.

“I came ... I was a football player ... I came here in 1963 ... and we beat you Bobcats, 29-12,” Biden said.
Sheriff Joe has a history of fabrications.

Every word of this rant has been proven untrue.

Crappy Economic Prospects Has Investors Fleeing

No growth expected.
ETF investors dumped high-growth, speculative funds and dove into safe haven Treasuries Wednesday as anti-austerity uprisings in Greece and Spain suggested that more central bank stimulus cannot control Europe's financial crisis.
And, we shouldn't overlook polling in this country that predicts four more years of Obamanomics.

Obamanomics Doesn't Work In France Either

Most unemployed since 1999.
The number of unemployed people in mainland France surpassed three million for the first time since 1999, new labour ministry data showed Wednesday, as French President François Hollande prepares to unveil his 2013 budget this week.

French unemployment topped three million for the first time in over a decade, data showed Wednesday, as the country faces a yawning budget gap like those plaguing its southern eurozone neighbours.

The number of jobless in mainland France swelled to 3.011 million in August, 23,900 more than in July, Labour Ministry figures showed, the first time since 1999 that the figure has breached the three million mark.

Gross Domestic Product Revised Downward

Way down. Unexpectedly of course.

Economic growth was much weaker than previously estimated in the second quarter as a drought cut into inventories, setting the platform for an even more sluggish performance in the current quarter against the backdrop of slowing factory activity.

Gross domestic product expanded at a 1.3 percent annual rate, the slowest pace since the third quarter of 2011 and down from last month's 1.7 percent estimate, the Commerce Department said in its final estimate on Thursday.

Output was also revised down to reflect weaker rates of consumer and business spending than previously estimated. Outlays on residential construction export growth were also not as robust as had been previously estimated.

Economists polled by Reuters had expected second-quarter GDP growth would be unrevised at a 1.7 percent pace. The economy grew at a 2.0 percent pace in the January-March period.

Durable Goods Orders Plummet

Unexpectedly.
New durable goods orders in August fell by the most since the recession and a separate reading on the broader U.S. economy came in much weaker than expected. But weekly jobless claims sank to a two-month low, in a hopeful sign for the labor market.

New orders for long-lasting U.S. manufactured goods in August fell by the most in 3 1/2 years, pointing to a sharp slowdown in factory activity even as a gauge of planned business spending rebounded.

The Commerce Department said on Thursday durable goods orders dived 13.2 percent, the largest drop since January 2009, when the economy was in the throes of a recession. Orders for July were revised down to show a 3.3 percent increase instead of the previously reported 4.1 percent gain.

Economists polled by Reuters had expected orders for durable goods — items from toasters to aircraft that are meant to last at least three years — to fall 5 percent.

Last month, the drop in orders reflected weak aircraft and automobiles demand. Boeing [BA  70.25    0.87  (+1.25%)   ] received only one aircraft order in August, down from 260 in July, according to information posted on the plane maker's website.

You Spent 1.4 Billion Dollars Pampering The Obama Family Last Year

Nothing is too good for America's royal family.
Obama isn’t the only president to have taken advantage of the expensive trappings of his office. But the amount of money spent on the first family, he argues, has risen tremendously under the Obama administration and needs to be reined in.

Gray told The Daily Caller that the $1.4 billion spent on the Obama family last year is the “total cost of the presidency,” factoring the cost of the “biggest staff in history at the highest wages ever,” a 50 percent increase in the numbers of appointed czars and an Air Force One “running with the frequency of a scheduled air line.”

“The most concerning thing, I think, is the use of taxpayer funds to actually abet his re-election,” Gray, who worked in the Eisenhower administration and for other Republican presidents, said in an interview with TheDC on Wednesday.

“The press has been so slow in picking up on this extraordinary increase in the president’s expenses,” Gray told TheDC.

Specifically, Gray said taxpayer dollars are subsidizing Obama’s re-election effort when he uses Air Force One to jet across the country campaigning.

Obama's Ideology Progressive In An Earlier Century

No, no the 20th, the 19th.
Overall, Obama stands for maintaining and expanding the welfare state that operated tolerably well in the big unit America of half a century ago but is coming apart in our early-stage information society today.

His green energy programs have fizzled out as solar panel companies go bankrupt. Meanwhile the private sector has developed bounteous supplies of oil and natural gas through fracking.

His favorite high-tech project is to build enormously expensive high-speed rail lines like the one Jerry Brown is pushing in California.

Meanwhile, Google is developing self-driving cars that will be able to move faster and more efficiently than current cars because their 21st century technology, like the 19th century technology of fixed rails, effectively prevents cars from colliding.

Nineteenth century fixed rails take you where the railroad, or its government subsidizer, wants you to go. Self-driving cars will take you where you want to go, with as many stops as you like along the way.

That's in line with the way Millennials lead their lives. The iPod/Facebook generation fashions its own playlists and friends lists, rather than let central decision makers choose for them.

No Inssurection In The Romney Camp

Politico makes up news again.
“[Ryan] is unleashed, unchained, off the hook,” Simon opens the piece. He then claims that last weekend Ryan broke free from “manacles” placed on him by the top of the ticket.

The Romney campaign has pushed back against Simon and Politico, asserting they are trying to create a false storyline that pits the former Massachusetts governor against his own vice presidential candidate.

John Sununu, a top Romney surrogate who has doggedly fought progressive journalists through the election, told Breitbart News such a narrative is “pure, unadulterated garbage.”

Sununu said of Politico, “It's one thing to have them covering the MSM's butt, but now they've sunk to the level of publishing a story that has not one iota of truth about it."

Paul dismissed charges that Romney’s campaign was inhibiting him, telling the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel Sunday, “never once has the [Romney] campaign asked me to stop something or do something differently or not do anything.”

Can The Smartest Man In The World Learn Anything?

We have it on the highest authority, Barack Obama himself, that he knows more about everything than anyone. His wife even chimes is, which is meaningful because I don't know any man whose wife will admit that her husband knows anything, let alone everything. So has he learned anything in four years?
In the 2008 primaries, Obama and Clinton had an intense argument over the nature of the presidency. Clinton argued that real change came when skillful politicians moved the machinery of Washington toward progressive ends. The president was a "chief executive officer" who is "able to manage and run the bureaucracy," she explained.

No, no, replied Obama. The presidency "involves having a vision for where the country needs to go ... and then being able to mobilize and inspire the American people to get behind that agenda for change."

So, after four years on the job, Obama has learned that he was right all along! How humble.

Obama's Aloofness Is Getting People Killed

The world's greatest orator can't move the ball in the Middle East for the same reason he can't move it in Washington.
If Mr. Obama had cultivated closer ties to the Saudis, he might have bought time for negotiations between the Bahraini authorities and the chief Shiite opposition party, Al Wefaq, according to one American diplomat who was there at the time. Instead, the Saudis gave virtually no warning when their forces rolled across the causeway linking Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, and the ensuing crackdown destroyed all hopes for a peaceful resolution.

The lingering resentment over Mr. Mubarak’s ouster had another apparent consequence. Mrs. Clinton’s criticism of the military intervention in a Paris television interview angered officials of the United Arab Emirates, whose military was also involved in the Bahrain operation and who shared the Saudis’ concern about the Mubarak episode.

The Emiratis promptly threatened to withdraw from the coalition then being assembled to support a NATO-led strike against Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi, the Libyan leader. The Emiratis knew they were needed to give the coalition legitimacy. They quickly named their price for staying on board, according to Arab and Western diplomats familiar with the episode: Mrs. Clinton must issue a statement that would pull back from any criticism of the Bahrain operation.

The statement, hastily drafted and vetted by Emirati and American officials, appeared soon afterward, in the guise of a communiqué on Libya.

The tensions between Mr. Obama and the Gulf states, both American and Arab diplomats say, derive from an Obama character trait: he has not built many personal relationships with foreign leaders. “He’s not good with personal relationships; that’s not what interests him,” said one United States diplomat. “But in the Middle East, those relationships are essential. The lack of them deprives D.C. of the ability to influence leadership decisions.”
 I see a pattern here.

Meanwhile, Obama hasn't learned a damned thing.
Obama also faced criticism for not scheduling a single meeting with a foreign leader during his 24-hour trip to the U.N. but finding time Monday afternoon to tape an interview with ABC’s daytime chat show “The View.” He held 13 bilateral meetings with foreign leaders at last year’s United Nations General Assembly.

Carney didn’t offer a reason for the lack of meetings, but he said Obama has held “extensive consultations” with world leaders since taking office. He noted that Obama “just in the last few weeks” had talked with the leaders of Egypt, Israel, Yemen, Turkey and Libya, and that those talks would continue.

Romney campaign officials said the lack of meetings suggested Obama has been disengaged on foreign policy – an area in which the Democratic president has had a decided edge, particularly after the death of Osama bin Laden.

"The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam."

Obama is wrong. The world must belong to people who feel free to slander the prophet of Islam, along with everyone else. The future must not belong to those who behead those who criticize Islam.
"The future must not belong to those who target Coptic Christians in Egypt – it must be claimed by those in Tahrir Square who chanted “Muslims, Christians, we are one.” The future must not belong to those who bully women – it must be shaped by girls who go to school, and those who stand for a world where our daughters can live their dreams just like our sons. The future must not belong to those corrupt few who steal a country’s resources – it must be won by the students and entrepreneurs; workers and business owners who seek a broader prosperity for all people. Those are the men and women that America stands with; theirs is the vision we will support."

"The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam. Yet to be credible, those who condemn that slander must also condemn the hate we see when the image of Jesus Christ is desecrated, churches are destroyed, or the Holocaust is denied"

The Abyssmal Ignorance Of The Obama Voter

The real key to Obama's re-election, incredibly stupid voters.

Benghazi Embassy Had Less Security Than Usual

CNN goes where no liberal media network has gone before - to the truth.
The U.S. diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya, was operating under a lower security standard than a typical consulate when it was attacked this month, according to State Department officials.

The mission was a rented villa and considered a temporary facility by the agency, which allowed a waiver that permitted fewer guards and security measures than a standard embassy or consulate, according to the officials.

There was talk about constructing a permanent facility, which would require a building that met U.S. security and legal standards, the officials said.

Allowing a waiver would have been a decision made with input from Washington, Libyan officials and the ambassador, according to diplomatic security experts.

"Someone made the decision that the mission in Benghazi was so critical that they waived the standard security requirements, which presents unique challenges to the diplomatic security service as you can imagine," said Fred Burton, vice president for Intelligence at STRATFOR, an intelligence analysis group.

To Hell With The Mayan Calendar, This Is A Real Emergency

Bacon shortage next year. Only Barack Hussein Obama could have pulled this off.
Might want to get your fill of ham this year, because "a world shortage of pork and bacon next year is now unavoidable," according to an industry trade group.

Blame the drought conditions that blazed through the corn and soybean crop this year. Less feed led to herds declining across the European Union “at a significant rate,” according to the National Pig Assn. in Britain.

And the trend “is being mirrored around the world,” according to a release (hat tip to the Financial Times).

In the second half of next year, the number of slaughtered pigs could fall 10%, doubling the price of European pork, according to the release.

The trade group urged supermarkets to pay pig farmers a fair price for the meat to help cover the drought-related losses.

Veterans Have Had Enough Obama

Four years is enough. And maybe a lot more than than enough.

President Barack Obama is trying hard to win veterans, but it looks like they’d prefer a new commander in chief.

The Obama campaign had been hoping that veterans and their families — especially among the post-Sept. 11 generation that served in Iraq and Afghanistan — would be part of their path to victory: They’re a high turn-out demographic and concentrated in battleground states, with nearly 1 million each in North Carolina, Ohio and Virginia, and 1.6 million in Florida.

But recent polls make clear that the president’s campaign is losing the battle. Even as Obama leads in Colorado, Florida, Ohio and Virginia, Mitt Romney is up by double digits among veterans in those states. Nationwide, he’s got a commanding 20-percentage-point lead over Obama and has even overtaken the president with younger veterans.

Worst. Jobs. President. Ever.

Was It Ahmadinejad Or Obama?

Who said this?
"Fundamentally, first of all, any action that is provocative, offends the religious thoughts and feelings of any people, we condemn," he said about the inflammatory film that mocks the Prophet Mohammed as a womanizer, child molester and killer.

"Likewise, we condemn any type of extremism. Of course, what took place was ugly. Offending the Holy Prophet is quite ugly. This has very little or nothing to do with freedom and freedom of speech. This is the weakness of and the abuse of freedom, and in many places it is a crime. It shouldn't take place and I do hope the day will come in which politicians will not seek to offend those whom others hold holy,"

Sometimes, Not Even The Mainstream Media Can Save Obama From Hiimself

Hubris.
When Ambassador Rice took to the Sunday shows last week, the implausible, even at the time, story she spun was one of the Arab street inflamed by a YouTube trailer to a video that may or may not exist. Since then we’ve learned that there was advanced warning of the attack, the staff at Benghazi was afraid an attack was in the offing, the attack was planned, it was led by a a graduate cum laude from Gitmo, and that the administration had decided not to provide US security forces for the embassy in Tripoli or the Benghazi consulate. To paraphrase Mary McCarthy on Lillian Hellman, “every word she says is a lie including “and” and “the”".

It is hard to paint Rice’s actions in any but the harshest light. Either the administration did not have access to the same facts as the rest of us, like the statement from the Libyan government, and made a conscious decision to try to bluff their way through events relying on the inactivity of a supine press or they did have the information and chose to lie about the events to put themselves in the best possible light. In either case, Rice should resign. But she won’t because she needs the job more than she needs integrity.
My view is that Team Obama has received so much assistance from the mainstream news media that they probably believed that they would be carried across the finish line and could get away with anything.

The Disengaged One

Obama is perhaps the only president who has no idea what the national debt is.  And that's just the start of how disinterested he is in his job.
When even the media is (sic) starting to point out that the incumbent president is too busy campaigning for re-election to govern, you know you have a problem.

Yet that’s precisely what the Associated Press noticed in a new report this morning. The first line: “It’s awfully quiet at the White House these days.”

Sure, when you have a president who spends most of his time on the trail spinning rhetoric and fundraising for his campaign coffers, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue will tend to be “awfully quiet.” This might explain why while our Libyan ambassador is dead and our embassies are under repeated siege, the White House still appears to know next to nothing about what went down in Benghazi. Even top Senate Republicans are fuming today that they are learning more details from the New York Times than from closed-door State Department briefing. Unemployment is rising in half of the states, and US industrial production is falling at the sharpest rate in three years, and our President is focused on hard-hitting interviews with radio hosts like Pimp with the Limp. On David Letterman, he casually admitted that he doesn’t know what the national debt is, and that it’s not a pressing concern.
