Obama Blames Syntax

Not his venomously anti-capitalist ideology. It's our fault that we misunderstood what he obviously said.

"Obviously, I have regrets for my syntax," Obama replied.  "But not for the point, because everyone who was there watching knows exactly what I was saying."

No, the only people who agree with your interpretation are known as the mainstream news media. Normal people know exactly what you meant.
