The Ten Worst Majors

If you want work after graduation, don't waste four years studying this crap.
It’s pretty much a given that English majors are finding it tough to find a job. But what other majors are considered “the worst”?  Here is the list based on data from Payscale.com and the Center for Education and the Workforce at Georgetown University at Kiplinger.com.

It includes the unemployment rate for those who graduated in the past five years, which you can compare to 7.7%, the average for the top 100 majors:
  • English: 9.2%
  • Sociology: 8.6%
  • Drama and Theater Arts: 7.8%
  • Liberal Arts: 9.2%
  • Studio Arts: 11.1%
  • Graphic Design: 11.8%
  • Philosophy and Religious Studies: 10.8%
  • Film and Photography: 12.9%
  • Fine Arts: 12.6%
  • Anthropology: 10.5%
