Gun Violence A Problem In Predominately Democrat Areas

Leave Conclusion Jumping To The Pros

Do not jump to conclusions. That’s the predictable advice that the mainstream news media dispenses after any terrorist attack. Translation: Don’t assume that this is yet another in a long line of hateful, cowardly attacks against innocent, unsuspecting civilians committed by Islamic extremists.

But, while they were telling us not to rush to politically incorrect judgments, the news media themselves and much of the left had the Boston Marathon bombing solved almost immediately. Within minutes, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews pointed his finger at conservatives. So did NBC’s Luke Russert. Obama’s political adviser, David Axelrod, had it nailed too. CNN’s Wolf Blitzer saw things the same way.

They all cited the calendar. It was April 15th.

The left’s preeminent philosopher, Michael Moore, found the solution was as simple as adding 2 plus 2. Not only was it Tax Day, but the final mile of the Boston Marathon was dedicated to the victims of the Newtown, Connecticut massacre. What right winger could resist that?

Marc Ambinder, an editor for The Atlantic, GQ and TheWeek.com blamed America’s gun culture.

In other words, like ABC’s Brian Ross, who blamed the Tea Party for the Aurora, Colorado movie theater mass murder and The New York Times, which blamed Gabby Giffords’ shooting on conservatives, the mainstream media leap at every opportunity to smear those they disagree with.

I was being interviewed on an entirely different matter by a public television reporter on Wednesday April 17th, two days after the bombing, when CNN erroneously reported that the Boston Marathon bombers had been captured. That ever vigilant and unbiased taxpayer subsidized journalist assured me that the suspect was undoubtedly a right wing extremist. His evidence was the date of the bombing. April 15th.

As it turns out, aside from the coincidence of Tax Day, April is well known among the leftist cognoscenti as the month that brings right wing terrorists out of their caves to commit violence. As terrorism expert Dina Temple-Ralston confidently explained on National Public Radio’s signature news magazine, All Things Considered, "April is a big month for anti-government, and right wing, individuals. There's the Columbine anniversary. There's Hitler's birthday. There's the Oklahoma City bombing. There's the assault on the Branch Davidian compound in Waco.”

How does Columbine High School fall into conservatism’s column? And wasn’t the slaughter of the Branch Davidians Bill Clinton’s doing? Hitler’s view of racial preferences differs from the Democrats’ primarily in the choice of beneficiaries and victims.

April’s a good month for leftist terrorism too. April 22nd happens to be Vladimir Lenin’s birthday, a man responsible for 20 million murders and a hero of the left. Is it coincidence that April 22nd is also Earth Day? Ecoterrorism is our most common terrorism. A week ago, potheads celebrated their favorite intoxicant. At a rally in Denver, two potheads were shot. That exceeds all the shootings at all Tea Party rallies combined by two.

I didn’t waste breath explaining to the public television reporter that we could just as easily anoint April as the month that liberal Democrat presidents incinerate peaceful women and children by the score, as the Clinton Administration did at the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, one year prior to the Oklahoma City bombing.

Salon Magazine’s David Sirota openly hoped that, when the bombers were found, that they would be white, American males. CNN’s Christianne Amanpour said the same thing, just in fewer words.

Well guess what? The assumption they all warned against turned out to be the truth.

And now the mainstream media are scratching their heads, stroking their goatees and wondering what could possibly have motivated these men? Suddenly, the MSM that was so eager to blame right wingers is exercising remarkable restraint regarding the bombers’ motives.

Here’s some help. According to an aunt, a few years ago the older brother’s devotion to Islam took an extreme turn. He was suddenly praying five times daily. Two years ago, he traveled to his homeland of Chechnya for six months. His personal web page salutes both Chechen independence and Islamic extremism.

But the news media that was so certain of motives before the suspects were identified now professes innocence of what could have caused these angels to go wrong.

So the media only jump to conclusions when the paucity of data permits them to make uninformed decisions. But now, when they have mountains of data at their disposal, they play dumb.

Alan Dershowitz Wonders: Why Do My Friend Love Terrorists?

Obama supporter Alan Dershowitz wonders why so many from his ideology venerate terrorists. Perhaps he should be more cautious about the company he keeps.
STEVE MALZBERG, HOST: Robert Redford before this bombing was on Good Morning America, and he made a movie about the Weather Underground, and he was specifically asked by George Stephanopoulos, “You were followers of them. You kind of rooted for them?” He said, “I don’t know if I wanted a revolution, but I did admire them.” And Stephanopoulos said, “What about the violence?” And he said, “Sometimes you have to have violence.” And you got William Ayers who’s glorified. So, I mean, there’s a big hypocrisy in this country too.

ALAN DERSHOWITZ: Oh, it’s more than hypocrisy. Look at Kathy Boudin is now teaching at Columbia. And Angela Davis has had a distinguished career teaching. Ayers and his wife. These are all people who were terrorists.

MALZBERG: Would you agree no difference between them and this kid [Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev]?

DERSHOWITZ: They’re much worse because they’re much better educated and had all the privileges in the world. So I see them as much, much worse. And I don’t understand the way some people on the Left glorify American terrorists without realizing that, you know, it’s indistinguishable morally from the kinds of terrorism we’re condemning here. And I just don’t buy it.

Shocker! Bombing Suspect Followed Radical Islam

Who would have guessed?
Deceased Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev was identified by a foreign government as a "follower of radical Islam and a strong believer" whose personality had changed drastically in just a year, according to the FBI.

As investigators considered possible motives for Monday's fatal bombings, U.S. authorities acknowledged that an unnamed government had contacted the FBI to say the 26-year-old ethnic Chechen “had changed drastically” since 2010 and was preparing to leave the United States “to join unspecified underground groups,” according to an official statement from the FBI.

U.S. officials have not named the foreign nation, but it is presumed to be Russia. Tsarnaev traveled there in 2012 and stayed for six months.
Meanwhile, Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick has no idea what motivated the terrorists.

Massachusetts Governor Has No Idea What Motivated Boston Marathon Bombers.

There are none blinder than those who will not see.

Deval Patrick
Speaking Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Deval (deh-VAL’) Patrick said it’s hard to imagine why someone would deliberately harm, quote “innocent men, women and children in the way that these two fellows did.”

What Did We Know, And When Did We Know It?

The FBI had their eye on Tamerlan Tsarnaev two years ago. Instead of following up, the Department of Homeland Security turned their attention to dangerous Tea Party activists, who have committed exactly zero terrorist acts.
The FBI acknowledged Friday that it had investigated Tsarnaev in 2011, even interviewing him and his family, but “did not find any terrorism activity,” either domestic or foreign.

“The FBI had this guy on the radar and somehow he fell off,” said the congressional aide, who said oversight committees on Capitol Hill are seeking answers from counterterrorism officials. “We heard for several days leading up to this there was no intelligence. Now we know there could have been intelligence.”

Tsarnaev, 26, who was killed in a firefight with police in Watertown early Friday morning, had traveled from Boston to Russia several times in recent years, including an extended stay in 2012, according to multiple US officials who have reviewed his passport file.

Tsarnaev and his younger brother, Dzhokhar, are ethnic Chechens who came to the United States from Kyrgyzstan, a former Soviet Republic in central Asia.

In Nancy Pelosi's World, No Doesn't Mean No

If she doesn't want it to mean no.
After the Senate failed to pass universal background checks for gun buyers Wednesday afternoon, Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that the House would push forward with its own version of the legislation.

“We’re just not taking no for an answer,” she vowed.

Photos Of Boston Marathon Bombing Suspects? (Update - Likely Bullshit from the Mainstream New Media Again)

Chris Matthews, Michael Moore and Salon Magazine, among others hardest hit.

One of the men come forward to clear his name here.

Meanwhile, the Boston Police are holding high resolution video of the bombers close to the vest. Are they planning to let Barack Obama stage the release?

Authorities have clear video images of two separate suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings carrying black bags at each explosion site and are planning to release the images today in an appeal for the public’s help in identifying the men, according to an official briefed on the case.

The official said that the two suspects were seen separately on videotape -- one at each of the two bombing sites, which are located about a block apart.

That official, who spoke this morning on the condition of anonymity, said the best video has come from surveillance cameras on the same side of Boylston Street as the explosions. The official said the widely reported Lord Taylor surveillance camera, and snapshots from individual cell phone camera users, have not provided the clearest images.

It was unclear why authorities did not publicize images of the unidentified suspects yesterday. President Obama is visiting Boston today, and the timing of a law enforcement briefing remained unclear.

May We Start Tip Toeing Toward A Conclusion

The Boston Marathon bomber(s) used pressure cooker bombs - a favorite of Islamic terrorists worldwide.
The remains of what may have been a pressure cooker were found at the scene of one of the two explosions Monday at the Boston Marathon, according to the FBI.

Pressure cooker bombs have been used worldwide, with instructions readily available online and easily found through internet searches.

Instructions on how to make such a bomb were featured in the first issue of al-Qaeda's English-language magazine under the headline, "Make a bomb in the kitchen of your mom."

Higher Ed Rejects Bully Coaches, Embraces Terrorists

Rutgers University in New Jersey is cleansing itself of an intolerable stain. After being presented with a video of the head basketball coach physically and verbally abusing his players last fall, the school’s athletic director fined and suspended the coach, then placed him on probation.

That wasn’t nearly enough. The coach’s behavior made him an unfit public representative of higher education. Once ESPN got its hands on the video, the network made punishing the school a crusade.  This precipitated a cascade of events that led to the coach’s firing, the resignation of his top assistant, the dismissal of the athletic director and the forced resignation of the school’s general counsel. It’s not certain that the Rutgers University president will keep his job.

If instead of punching, kicking, shoving and demeaning his players, had the coach simply murdered someone, he would have been better off. If recent events are any guide, he probably would find himself at a professional advantage had he greased a couple of cops.

Just a few miles north of the Rutgers University campus, the Columbia University School of Social Work saw fit to hire triple murderer Kathy Boudin as a an adjunct professor. She was also honored as the Sheinberg Scholar-in-Residence at New York University’s Law School.

Boudin’s credentials for these prestigious posts include 22 years in prison for a botched $1.6 million dollar armored car heist that left two policemen and a Brinks guard dead.

At the time, Kathy Boudin was a member of that era’s most notorious gang of domestic terrorists, the Weather Underground, otherwise known as the Weathermen. During that robbery she was helping out another gang of terrorists, the Black Liberation Army.

If the name Weather Underground sounds familiar, it should. Two of our president’s closest friends were also members of the Weather Underground, William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, both of whom also became college professors.

William Ayers’ rap sheet includes bombing the New York City Police Department Headquarters in 1970. He bombed the US Capital building the next year. And the year after that, he reached the pinnacle of his terrorist career when he detonated a bomb at the Pentagon.

Ayers escaped prison when the FBI’s case against him was thrown out over a technicality.

After his bombing days were behind him, he went back to college. At Columbia University (naturally), he was awarded a Master’s and a Doctoral degree in elementary education.

His wife and fellow former terrorist is currently an Associate Professor at the Northwestern University School of Law.

The two raised Kathy Boudin’s child while she served her prison sentence.

What better choices for molding young minds than terrorists?

Before her triple murder, Boudin and her fellow Weathermen Cathy Wilkerson, Ted Gold, Terry Robbins and Ayers’ girlfriend at the time, Diana Oughton, were building a nail bomb that exploded prematurely in their Greenwich Village apartment. Gold, Robbins and Oughton were killed in the blast. Wilkerson and Boudin escaped.

The bomb was big enough to inflict hundreds of casualties.

When the police cast their dragnet looking for the perpetrators of the Brinks armored car robbery, they caught two other Weathermen, Jeffrey Jones and Eleanor Raskin. The two had been fugitives since police found bomb making materials in their New Jersey apartment two years earlier.

Was it just coincidence that these two just happened to be in the neighborhood when the Brinks robbery went down? I’m not a big believer in such coincidences. In any event, the police did not have enough evidence to charge the two with complicity.

Nevertheless, even without a murder conviction to her credit, Raskin’s Weather  Underground affiliation helped her earn a spot on the Albany Law School faculty.

The mythology that has grown up around the Weathermen holds that they were idealist, if overly enthusiastic, anti-war activists whose hearts were basically good. This ignores the fact that the FBI managed to insinuate a mole into the Weathermen’s inner circle and learned that their post-revolution goals included installing a communist dictatorship and murdering 25 million Americans.

That’s how many unrecoverable capitalists they estimated would require elimination to solidify their communist control. And if you find the thought of 25 million murders inconceivable, remember that 20th century communist dictators murdered more than 100 million of their own citizens. They’d barely earn their bones with 25 million.

What does it say about us when we hold basketball coaches to higher moral standards than our law and education professors?

Obama Inflicts Gratuitous Pain On Timber Communities

No one should be surprised by Obama’s demand that timber communities return millions of dollars already dispersed under the federal Secure Rural Schools Act. He has a vested interest in making sequestration as painful as possible, as we learned from a leaked Department of Agriculture e-mail: “However you manage that reduction, you need to make sure you are not contradicting what we said the impact would be.”

Obama promised that it would hurt, so make certain that it hurts.

Obama’s spokeschild Jay Carney was especially petulant at Tuesday’s White House press briefing. His problem was that the usually obedient news media were not doing his boss’s bidding. They were supposed to beat their way through the heartland, turning up stories of poor, middle class Americans whose lives have been devastated by the federal government sequester. And it wasn’t happening. In fact, since the world didn’t end on March 1st as promised, the press consensus seems to have coalesced around the narrative that the Obama Administration exaggerated the economic disruption that would result from sequestration.

“I know that there hasn’t been a lot of coverage of the impacts of real people, on the families who had to be engaged in lotteries to see whether their child, on a Friday, was still going to be in Head Start on Monday. You know, tell them it doesn’t matter,” Carney said.

Even as the spokeschild was whimpering, Fox News’ Ed Henry pointed out that Obama’s claim that the sequestration would weaken border security was not coming to pass as threatened. In fact, the only manifestation of poorer border security was when Immigration and Customs Enforcement gratuitously released thousands of jailed illegal aliens, some with criminal records, beginning well before March 1st.

“Feel free to convey to your readers and viewers that the sequester doesn’t matter,” Carney snapped.

In February, Obama had threatened to furlough Border Patrolman. Now that that we are a full month into the sequester, there have been no furloughs and none are scheduled.

Border security was just one of a number of disasters that the spokeschild, his boss and other surrogates predicted. All this was because federal spending was not increasing as much as Obama wished. Spending was not going down.

Education secretary Arne Duncan predicted that teachers would be laid off en masse: “It just means a lot more children will not get the kinds of services and opportunities they need, and as many as 40,000 teachers could lose their jobs….There are literally teachers now who are getting pink slips, who are getting notices that they can’t come back this fall.”

Untrue.

The White House claimed that 800,000 civilian Defense Department employees would face layoffs. That was a bit of an exaggeration. In truth, they would be seeing 14 furlough days over the next year.

On the day that the sequester took effect, Barack Obama announced that White House janitors would see their hours slashed. There was not a word of truth in that claim. As the Fox News Department of Euphemisms phrased it: The president was, “struggling with accuracy.”

Among William Shakespeare’s more memorable bits of advice to future writers was that “brevity is the soul of wit.” Here’s how it works: Obama lied.

And he lied with intent. As one of his prominent allies, Emily Holubowich, a Democratic lobbyist, phrased it, “The worst-case scenario for us is the sequester hits and nothing bad really happens. And Republicans say: See, that wasn’t so bad.”

Actually, she was wrong. The worst case scenario is that Obama’s fawning press corps would start saying the same thing: “See, that wasn’t so bad.”

So he needs to make it worse. And who better to punish than rural communities whose residents cling bitterly to their guns and religion? They don’t vote for Democrats anyway.

The whole point of the Secure Rural Schools act is to partially remediate economic damage inflicted on those communities by federal environment laws and regulations. If an environmentalist wacko discovers a rare fly, mouse or insect in a forest, timber harvest, mining and all other resource based economic activity is shut down. The Endangered Species Act protects the Northern Spotted owls, not loggers.

But what is really endangered now is Obama’s credibility. He lied when he claimed sequestration was a Republican idea. He grossly exaggerated sequestration’s effect on the functioning of government. And since sequestration, economic forecasts have improved.

He was exposed. Someone needs to pay.

Idiot Policitian Of The Week

Diana DeGette, (D-Colorado)
“I will tell you these are ammunition, they’re bullets, so the people who have those now they’re going to shoot them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available.”

And if you that this is a one off, think again.

Obama Blinks

Spineless.

Gosh we're lucky that we had a Democrat like Kennedy in 1962 and not a Democrat like Obama.
The U.S. Embassy in Cairo shut down its Twitter feed Wednesday following a public fight with the Egyptian Presidency and the Muslim Brotherhood over the arrest of an Egyptian television star.

"Sorry, that page doesn't exist!" reads the banner atop the site where the @USEmbassyCairo Twitter feed sat until this morning. A cached version of the page shows that the last tweet was  a link to the Daily Show's Jon Stewart talking about the Egyptian government's arrest of Stewart's Egyptian doppelganger Bassem Youssef, who was detained and fined by the Egyptian police on the charge of insulting Islam and President Mohamed Morsy.

"It's inappropriate for a diplomatic mission to engage in such negative political propaganda," the official Twitter feed for the Egyptian presidency said on their own feed Tuesday. The Egyptian presidency tweet was directed at the Cairo Embassy, the Daily Show, and Youssef himself.

The Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), the political wing of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood, has been lashing out at Embassy Cairo repeatedly on its own Twitter feed

"Another undiplomatic & unwise move by @USEmbassyCairo, taking sides in an ongoing investigation & disregarding Egyptian law & culture," the FJP tweeted Tuesday.
Here is the forbidden video.

Jon Stewart Shows How To Stand Up To Islamist Dictators

Obama Adds To His Collection Of Pinocchios

Another four-banger.
The Washington Post's Glenn Kessler has been doing notable work of late when it comes to holding Obama accountable for making false claims. For instance, President Chicken Little was recently awarded all kinds of Pinocchios while running around the country claiming a two-percent cut to a bloated federal budget would doom us.

Tuesday Kessler exposed our fibber-in-chief once again, this time for using a phony statistic that claims 40% of gun sales happen without background checks:
Two months ago, we were willing to cut the White House some slack, given the paucity of recent data. But the president’s failure to acknowledge the significant questions about these old data, or his slippery phrasing, leaves us little choice but to downgrade this claim to Three Pinocchios.
From what I've see thus far in the media, though, this particular fact check has received no traction. Which is odd, because what usually happens after a WaPo fact-check is a flurry of mainstream media activity outing the lie and the liar.

Obama Cuts White House Tours, Throws Swanky Parties For Himself

Cuts for thee, but not for me.
President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle will host a star-studded roster of music legends April 9 for another glitzy installment in the “In Performance at the White House concert series, according to a White House press released issued Tuesday.

The concert comes as the White House is emphasizing cuts caused by sequestration and criticizing reporters for not paying enough attention to the hardship caused by the mandatory slowdown in the rate of spending increases. Though the White House notably canceled all visitor tours in March, ostensibly due to sequestration, the First Couple’s series of White House concerts — billed as “the nation’s highest honor for popular song” — manages to survive.

Al Green, Ben Harper, Queen Latifah, Justin Timberlake and Booker T. Jones are among the performers confirmed for the event.

Obama Wipes Out 50 Years Of Progress Against Poverty

Welcome to Obamaville.
The U.S. Census Bureau puts the number of Americans in poverty at levels not seen since the mid-1960s when President Lyndon B. Johnson launched the federal government's so-called War on Poverty.

As President Barack Obama began his second term in January, nearly 50 million Americans — one in six — were living below the income line that defines poverty, according to the bureau. A family of four that earns less than $23,021 a year is listed as living in poverty.

The bureau said 20 percent of the country's children are poor.

Although it is far from the country's poorest city, Baltimore's poverty rate far outstrips the national average of one in six.
