What Did Obama Expect In Return From The Post?

Okay, it was clearly unethical for the Washington Post to arrange meetings between lobbyists and Obama Administration officials. But, what did Obama expect in return? The Post has been hemorrhaging dollars and would clearly appreciate any help with their cash flow. If Barack Obama could steer a few million their way by providing cabinet members for these salons, don't you think that he'd expect a little favorable coverage in return?

Barack Obama And Hugo Chavez Link Arms On Iran

I am not surprised.

Chavez indicated that he had spoken to Ahmadinejad during the week to congratulate him. Another report in Cyberpresse mentioned that Venezuela's Foreign Policy Minister had strong words of condemnation for the 'ferocious and unfounded campaign of discredit that was activated by foreign powers against Iranian institutions'.

Ironically, he also lauded President Obama for his restraint regarding the outcome of the Iranian election, and gave him a further compliment for having lashed out at FOX News during his interview with MSNBC's John Harwood. The President mentioned during that interview that he had one television station entirely devoted to attacking his administration.

The New York Times Safely In Obama's Pocket

I did a quick search of the New York Times and found nothing. I was looking for one mention of the fact that Barack Hussein Obama illegally fired an Inspector General for political reasons.

Not that the Times needed any encouragement to do the Democrats' bidding, but just to be safe, Obama has made a point of hand feeding the Times.

Good doggy!

Obama's Energy Policy: Bankrupt The Coal Industry

And, of course, he has no use for nuclear power either. Tell me, how are you going to light and heat your home if Obama gets his way?

I suppose this means that Joe Biden was telling the truth all along - a new experience for him. No wonder he denied it afterward.

Did Barack Obama Forget Ryan David Jopek's Name?

As he started to answer John McCain regarding the Iraq war, Barack Obama declared that he too was wearing a bracelet given to him by the mother of a fallen soldier. But, Obama clearly could not remember the soldier's name. He had to peak at his bracelet and read the name.

Am I really the only person who noticed that?

Did Barack Hussein Obama Meddle In Iraq Diplomacy?

According to Amir Taheri, writing in today's New York Post, Barack (He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named) Obama interfered with Iraqi-US negotiations for the purpose of harming the United States.

WHILE campaigning in public for a speedy withdrawal of US troops from Iraq, Sen. Barack Obama has tried in private to persuade Iraqi leaders to delay an agreement on a draw-down of the American military presence.

According to Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Obama made his demand for delay a key theme of his discussions with Iraqi leaders in Baghdad in July.

"He asked why we were not prepared to delay an agreement until after the US elections and the formation of a new administration in Washington," Zebari said in an interview.

But, doesn't Barack Hussein Obama want American troops to come home as soon as possible? Well, he has bigger fish to fry, delegitimizing pre-emptive war as a foreign policy.

Obama has given Iraqis the impression that he doesn't want Iraq to appear anything like a success, let alone a victory, for America. The reason? He fears that the perception of US victory there might revive the Bush Doctrine of "pre-emptive" war - that is, removing a threat before it strikes at America.

Despite some usual equivocations on the subject, Obama rejects pre-emption as a legitimate form of self -defense. To be credible, his foreign-policy philosophy requires Iraq to be seen as a failure, a disaster, a quagmire, a pig with lipstick or any of the other apocalyptic adjectives used by the American defeat industry in the past five years.
